• Introduction to Navisworks Software: Understand the main features and functionality of Autodesk Navisworks, including how to open and append 3D files of different formats.
• Model Interaction and Review: Learn to perform visual project model reviews using built-in tools and create links to object properties and scheduling files.
• Construction Simulations: Create 4D construction simulations to check the validity of construction schedules and use Animator and Scripter for interactive presentations.
• Quantification and Clash Detection: Obtain take-off data for material estimates, perform interference detection tests, and create photorealistic outputs with true-to-life materials and lighting.

Session 1:

• Describe the main features and functionality of the Autodesk Navisworks software
• Open and append 3D files of different formats and save in the Autodesk Navisworks format

Session 2:

• Create links to object properties files and scheduling files in external databases
• Perform visual project model reviews using the built-in review and reporting tools

Session 3:

• Create construction simulations of a project model to check the validity of construction schedules
• Use Animator and Scripter to create interactive animations for presentations and demonstrations

Session 4:

• Obtain take-off data from source models to create material estimates, measure areas, and count components
• Perform interference detection tests between 3D files of different disciplines to check integrity of the design
• Add true-to-life materials, and lighting and backgrounds to project models, to create photorealistic output
