Why did HP EOL this product?

What level of support continues during the transition?
Maintenance support continues through the contract term up to the EOL date and includes technical support for existing functionality, critical security fixes where feasible and OS compatibility support for currently supported environments.
It does not include new features or enhancements, major OS version upgrades, guaranteed compatibility with future operating systems.
What happens if my subscription extends beyond 31 October 2029?
HP will identify affected subscriptions and issue a prorated refund for any unused term beyond the EOL date, in line with contractual terms. Refunds are processed through the purchasing channel (direct or via partner).
